Staff Nurse Endoscopy
We have a requirement for a Staff Nurse Endoscopy in a prestigious private hospital in Co. Dublin. The successful candidate will work as part of the Multidisciplinary Team, establishing and maintaining good working relationships aimed at delivering a high standard of care to patients within their Hospital. The post holder is responsible for managing the care of patients and the needs of their families, ensuring that quality is maintained throughout their journey through the endoscopy unit. She/he is required to develop additional clinical skills specific to the area of appointment.
You will report to the Clinical Nurse Managers I, II and III and Professionally Accountable to the Day Services Assistant Director of Nursing and the Director of Nursing. Your role will be to promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illness.

Responsibilities include:
" Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating highly specialised nursing care, using a holistic approach.

" Adhere to Code of Professional Practice and Behaviours

" To develop an understanding of the speciality and following the units induction programme.

" To keep the nurse in charge aware of any relevant changes as they occur.

" To promote and uphold nursing standards by identifying/recommending changes which will enhance the
quality of care

" To interpret the significance
of the patients clinical observations and record and plan desired
changes in care with senior staff

" To maintain confidentiality and ensure that all clinical and legal documents are accurate and legible.

" They also supervise and assess student nurses and other junior staff in the clinical area, to ensure that they receive the appropriate direction and support.

Essential requirements for the ideal candidate:
" Registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais.
" Possess well-developed leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills.
" Proven clinical and professional management ability, risk management, clinical audit, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
" Competence in the use of information technology.
