Job Description

On behalf of our client, we have a requirement for a Person in Charge to join a prestigious nursing home in Co. Sligo. This is a permanent full time position and will bring with it benefits such as a pleasant and friendly work environment along with a very competitive salary.
" Ensures that appropriate nursing care is planned for individual patients based on need assessment and that each individual patient receives prescribed medical treatment and nursing care, within established policies, procedures and standards of care.
" Act as a nurse advisor offering advice, support and clinical expertise to staff caring for patients
" Ensures clinical competence of staff in performing clinical activities.
" Demonstrate vision, innovation and flexibility in nursing practice
" Establish and maintain appropriate staffing levels and skill mix affecting service needs. This will include playing an active part in the recruitment and selection process for the nursing team.

Applicants must:
" Be registered on the general division of the register of nurses maintained by NMBI.
" Have at least 5 year's post registration experience with a minimum of 2 years at management level.
" Must have experience of working with patients that have Dementia.
" Have proven clinical and professional ability
" Have excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
" Competency in the English language is a requirement for the post
